Nicole Coson’s ‘Spirit Captures’ 

From Nicole Coson’s series ‘Spirit Captures’ in which she explores the use of mono-prints. Named appropriately, Nicole’s black and white portraits are detailed enough for us to grasp the essence of her subject. This series draws upon Nicole’s Filipino heritage. Ancient mythological beliefs of ‘encantadas’ or enchanted beings are entities not embodied in human flesh. Nicole has captured a brief moment in time when these forms become perceptible.
